This ca. 1930s German 7/8 carved back bass has a penetrating dark voice, with plenty of volume. It has seen some repairs. The tuning machines have been replaced by single unit tuning machines from the same era. Dimensions are: Top length 44 3/4″, Upper bout width 20″, Middle bout width 14 5/8″, Lower bout width 27 5/8″, Rib depth at tail 7 7/8″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 7 7/8″, Rib depth at neck 6/2″, String length 42 5/8″.
