Description
This new Shen SB 150 hybrid 3/4 features a very nice solid spruce top plate and laminated maple back and sides. Set up with a replacement Despiau bridge with adjusters and a set of D’Addario Zyex strings, the hybrid setup functions well in both student orchestral play and jazz settings. The tuning machines are gold plated single unit machines. The adjustable endpin has a 10 mm steel rod. The varnish is red-brown oil. Dimensions are: Top length 43″, Upper bout width 20 1/2″, Middle bout 14 3/4″, Lower bout 26 1/2″. Rib depth at tail 8 1/4″, Rib depth at upper bout 7 3/4″, Rib depth at neck 6″, String length 41 3/4″. This bass is a finenchoice for student use of for the adult performer on a budget. With cover.
