This “Borceto” model fully carved 1/2 size bass is in very fine condition after years of family use for their orchestral students. The voice is lively and colorful. The fine, even grained top has nice musical tap tones. The plain figure maple back and sides are also made of choice wood selection. The maple neck has been fit with single unit tuning machines. The nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle are made from ebony. The tailpiece is made from rosewood. The maple bridge has been fit with standard style adjusters. The adjustable endpin is a 12 mm steel rod type. The light brown varnish finish has been applied lightly and remains in fine condition. The bass is currently strung with a new set of D’Addario Helicore Hybrid strings.
