Description
This new Xuechang Sun model 320 3/4 has an exceptionally nice even grain spruce top. The nut, fingerboard, tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle are ebony. The endpin is a 12 mm steel rod. The select maple bridge has been fit with adjusters. The reddish varnish finish has golden highlights. The orchestral strings are Pirastro Flexocore 92, for a strong Arco voice. Dimensions are: Top length 42 5/8″, Upper bout width 20″, Middle bout width 15 1/8″, Lower bout width 26 1/4″, Rib depth at tail 8 1/2″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 7 1/2″, Rib depth at neck joint 6 1/2″, String length 41″. This student bass has a strong performance voice at an attractive price.
