Description
This new Shen SB 88 (2022-2-133) oil varnished 3/4 size all laminate model has a bold voice and an easy playing feel. The top, back, and sides are laminated maple. The maple neck has been fit with individual tuning machines that turn smoothly and precisely. The nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle are made of ebony. The replacement bridge is a Despiau that has had adjusters installed. The adjustable endpin is the 10 mm steel rod type. The tailpiece is ebonized and has a twisted steel cable tail wire. The oil varnish finish is beautiful and acoustically transparent. The strings are D’Addario Helicore Hybrid. The dimensions are: Top length 42 7/8″, Upper bout width 20 1/4″, Middle bout width 14 3/8″, Lower bout width 26 1/4″, Rib depth at tail 8 1/4″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 7 1/4″, Rib depth at neck 6 1/8″, String length 41 1/4″.
