Description
This new Shen SB 200 willow 3/4 flatback (2022-6-110) has an especially vibrant response to both jazz pizz or Arco orchestral play. The spruce top is an exceptionally nice example in terms of grain structure and tap tones. The willow back and sides are of moderate density and have colorful tap tope response. The maple neck is fit with mid-grade brass single unit tuning machines. The nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle are made from ebony. The replacement bridge bland is a Despiau Superior two tree model, fit with adjusters. The replacement tailpiece is a dark rosewood Hill style model. The adjustable endpin is the 10 mm steel rod type. Dimensions are: Top length 43″, Upper bout width 20 1/8″, Middle bout width is 14 1/4″, Lower bout width 25 1/2″, Rib depth at tail 8 1/2″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 7 3/4″, Rib depth at neck 6 1/4″, String length 41 1/2″.
