New Eastman 7/8 “Jean-Pierre Lupot” carved back

This new Eastman 7/8 “Jean-Pierre Lupot” carved back bass has received a top regraduation and bass bar remodeling to bring out a richer and stronger voice, especially in the bottom end. Jason Brown made and fit one of his fine C extensions to the bass, intonating for the standard Pirastro Evah Pirazzi orchestra gauge set. The spruce top has medium grain width and a richly musical tap tone. The maple back and sides have a little mild flame figure, with a little ribbon figure in the back. The plain figure maple neck has been fit with Rubner tuning machines and the Jason Brown  C extension. The fittings are African ebony. The maple bridge has been fit with aluminum adjusters. The New Harmony endpin is solid graphite. The voice bold and forceful, with a strong orchestral presence. The dark red varnish finish has an understated and elegant look. With cover.
