This ca. 2007 Xuechang Sun 7/8 Gofriller is in my favorite older configuration with the longer 42 1/8″ string length. It has had significant recent performance upgrades that include a top regraduation, Neck reset, Rubner tuner upgrade, and a new fingerboard for a huge orchestral voice that is very colorful in all registers. Fine grain russian spruce top, Maple back, sides, and neck, Rubner halfplate tuners, Ebony nut, fingerboard, Hill style tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle. ULSA deluxe endpin with brass collar and 10 mm rod. French bridge with added adjusters, Leather side bumpers. Red varnish finish. Currently strung with Flexocore 92 strings for a solid and colorful orchestral voice. DIMENSIONS are: Top length 43 1/2″, Upper bout width 20 1/2″, Middle bout width 14 3/8″, Lower bout width 27″, Depth at tail 8 7/8″, Depth at upper bout corner 7 3/4″, Depth at neck joint 7″, String length 42 1/8″. A very strong and colorful voice, a great value for conservatory or community orchestra play. With cover.
