Description

This 2019 New Standard  Brandenburg model  (499) is an especially fine orchestral instrument, although it has a large jazz presence when strung with Spirocore mittel strings. Made of German woods and finished in oil varnish by Will DeSola, this bass would be a fine professional grade addition to any regional orchestra. Four piece German spruce top, Moderately flame figured German maple back, sides, and neck, Antique finish Rubner tuning machines, Ebony nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle, Rosewood tailpiece, New Harmony graphite endpin, German maple bridge with added adjusters. Currently strung with Pirastro Flexocore Deluxe strings.

Dimensions are:
Top length 44″, Upper bout width 19 3/8″, Middle bout width 13 3/4″, Lower bout 25 3/4″, String length 41 5/8″. This new bass already has a fine and richly colorful voice for orchestral play. I am very pleased to have this one in inventory. With cover.
