Description
This hardly used 2009 Lemur Sunrise Laguna carved back 3/4 bass is being sold on consignment for the estate of the original purchaser. The owner passed away years ago and this instrument shows very few signs of having been played. The voice is lively and rich with the nupratro Evah Pirazzi stringing, especially useful for student orchestral play. The spruce top has narrow grain at the center and wider grain at the edges. The back, sides, and neck are lightly figured Maple. The halfplate Rubner tuning machines are in new condition. The nut, fingerboard, Hill style tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle are all of ebony. The Despiau bridge has added adjusters. The endpin is the Lemur-made Onyx brand with an ebony collar. The varnish is a dark orange spirit varnish. The voice is even and especially appropriate for student orchestral work.
Dimensions are:
Top length 42 1/8″, Upper bout width 19 7/8″, Middle bout 15 1/4″, Lower bout 26 1/4″, Rib depth at tail 8 1/8″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 7 5/8″, Rib depth at neck 6 1/4″, String length 41″.
A very fine solid-woods student bass in nearly new condition.
