Description
This little used 2008 Milano 3/4 solid woods carved back bass is being consigned by the estate of a player who passed away not long after buying this instrument new. There are few signs of use, but it currently has a strong voice for a new instrument. The fine grain spruce top has a very nice tap tone and I believe that the voice will really open up with play. The figured Maple back, sides, and neck are of medium density and also feature a nice musical tap tone. The tuning machines are in new condition. The nut, fingerboard, tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle are all of solid ebony. The maple bridge has had adjusters installed. The 12 mm steel rod endpin works smoothly and cleanly. The dark brown gloss varnish finish is quite beautiful. The voice of this bass is large and lively, with plenty of room to grow through play.
