1970s Hofner 3/4 carved back

This consignment 1970s Hofner 3/4 carved back school bass is in good condition and priced to sell. The spruce top is quite nice for a factory instrument, with well-defined medium-fine grain. The maple ribs and back plate are plain figured and were well-seasoned. The beech neck has artfully airbrushed faux flame. The halfplate German tuning machines turn easily and smoothly. The nut, fingerboard, tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle are all made from African ebony. The original endpin works, but could be replaced. The bridge has smooth turning adjusters installed. The finish is in good condition for a former school instrument. The current stringing is D’Addario Helicore hybrid strings. Dimensions are: Top length 42″, Upper bout width 19 5/8″, Middle bout width 14 1/4″, Lower bout width 25 1/2″, Rib depth at tail 7 1/2″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 7 1/2″, Rib depth at neck joint 5 7/8″, String length 41″. This is a very nice economical student orchestral or gigging bandstand bass. NO COVER.
