This 1930s John Juzek (Wilfer?) 7/8 carved back bass has a very large, rich voice. This bass has had some professional top crack repairs over the years. The back plate has dark, penetrating tap tones. The tuning machines feature attractive engraving and silver plating. The D neck has a moderately shaped profile and feels very comfortable to play. The dimensions are: Top length 46 1/8″, Upper bout width 20 5/8″, Middle bout 15 1/4″, Lower bout 27 1/4, Length of back (including button) 47 3/8″, Rib depth at tail 8 1/2″, Rib depth at upper bout corner 8 3/8″, Rib depth at neck joint 6 7/8″, String length 44 5/8″.
