This instrument features a wider grain top that is even more responsive to the lower tonal ranges. The back and sides are of moderately flame figured maple. The neck is very lightly flame figured maple. The tuners are gold half plate and the endpin is the Gotz aluminum shaft type with the wider screw-on tip. The fittings are all ebony, including the thick fingerboard. The bridge is a Despiau with aluminum adjusters added as part of a comprehensive setup. Dimensions are: Top length 43 1/2″, Upper bout width 20 1/4″, Middle bout width 13 3/4″, Lower bout width 26 5/8″, Depth at tail 9 1/4″, Depth at upper bout corner 8 1/4″, Depth at neck 7 7/8″, String length 41 1/4″. The voice is very rich and developed in the lower end and midrange, with a colorful treble range enhanced by Spirocore strings. A very responsive and wonderfully versatile instrument that is equally at home in pizz or arco situations. With cover.
