The general weight and build style is like that of a 1920s era german or czech instrument, making it especially nice for jazz pizz play. Mildly flame figured maple back, sides, and neck, medium-fine grain spruce top, Brass single unit tuning machines, Ebony nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle, Wittner tailpiece, 10 mm steel rod endpin, Despiau bridge with adjusters fitted as part of a comprehensive setup, Medium orange-brown oil varnish finish. Dimensions are: Top length 42 3/8″, Upper bout width 20 3/8″, Middle bout 14 7/8″, Lower bout 25 1/2″, Depth at tail 8 1/4″, Depth at upper bout corner 7 1/4″, Depth at neck 6 3/4″, String length 41 7/8″. The 6 1/2″ bridge height gives the top plenty of leverage to make a large, voice. An especially nice jazz bass in this price range. This instrument is a cosmetic 2nd, due to some orange peeling of the finish. This specific bass is $1,000 less than what succeeding examples will sell for. This Model 150 will be a regularly stocked instrument for the shop. With cover.
