Temporary Photo Set

This consignment ca. 1980s Romanian 3/4 carved back has seen a lot of service as an orchestral bass and has a nicely developed voice. The most recent owner played some jazz with it, using the Full Circle pickup for stage sound. Lightly flame figured maple back and sides, Plain figure maple neck, Nickel plated halfplate tuning machines, Ebony nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle, Rosewood tailpiece, Recent bridge installation by Jon Peterson, Full Circle pickup, 12 mm steel rod endpin, Thinly applied reddish brown varnish, well used Evah Pirazzi strings. Dimensions are: Top length 42″, Upper bout width 19 1/2″, Middle bout width 14 3/4″, Lower bout width 26″, Depth at tail 8 1/2″, Depth at upper bout corner 8 1/4″, Depth at neck 7″, String length 41 1/8″. Quickly responsive to a bow, with a projective voice. This instrument would probably also perform well with Bel Canto or broken in Spirocore Orchestra strings. No cover provided by the consigning owner. We have a few different options for covers available.
