The highly figured laminated maple back and sides and the beech neck (with airbrush faux flame figure), are finished in a gorgeous amber into brown lacquer. The nickel plated Rubner halfplate tuners are quite healthy and turn very smoothly. The generously dimensioned ebony fingerboard remains solid and substantial, even though a significant planing was required during the recent setup. The new Despiau bridge has been fitted with adjusters during the recent comprehensive setup procedure. The ebonized tailpiece and 12 mm steel rod endpin complete the fittings. I have strung this bass with D’Addario Helicore hybrid strings for versatile use. Dimensions are: Top length 42 3/8″, Upper bout width 19 3/4″, Middle bout 14 3/8″, Lower bout 25 3/4″, Depth at tail 8 1/8″, Depth at upper bout bend 7 7/8″, Depth at neck 7″,  String length 42 3/8″.  A even voiced and easy playing bass that is a visual knockout. With cover.
