The consignment ca. late 1940s Czech 3/4 flatback bass came from this shop some years ago and it is great to have it in stock once again. This bass is currently set up for arco play with D’Addario and Zyex strings. Fine grain spruce top, Plain maple back, sides, and neck, Brass halfplate tuners with wooden hat peg posts, Ebony fittings, Maple bridge with added adjusters, Aluminum adjustable ULSA endpin, Lightly applied varnish finish. Dimensions are: Top length 42 1/2″, Upper bout width 20 1/4″, Middle bout width 14 1/2″, Lower bout width 25 3/4″, Depth at tail 8 1/4″, Depth at upper bout corner 8″, Depth at neck joint 6 1/4″, String length 42 1/8″. This bass plays very easily and is a fine student or community orchestra instrument.
