This jazz and folk veteran ca. 1930s German flatback bass has seen a lot of stage use over the decades and at one point was stripped and refinished in amber lacquer. The voice is free and nimble, a good choice for the gigging jazz player. Medium-fine grain spruce top, Mildly flame figured maple back and sides, Beech neck, Brass halfplate hat peg tuning machines, Ebony nut, fingerboard and tailpiece saddle, Ebonized tailpiece, Recently made new maple bridge with added adjusters, Older aluminum collar type adjustable endpins, Strung with Spirocore mittel strings.
