Lightly figured maple back, sides, and neck, Fine grain spruce top, Chrome french style single unit Rubner tuners, Ebony nut, fingerboard, tailpiece saddle, and Hill style tailpiece, 10 mm steel rod endpin, Despiau bridge with adjusters added, Dark red-brown oil varnish finish. Dimensions are: Top length 42 5/8″, Upper bout width 20 1/8″, Middle bout width 14 1/4″, Lower bout width 25 1/4″, String length 41 1/2″. This bass is one of my favorite old 3/4 flatback instruments that have come to the shop in the last 5-6 years. A superb arco instrument and a nimble, warm voiced jazz bass. Currently strung with Spirocore mittel strings.
