The voice is large and full, making it an especially effective old style jazz bass. Figured maple back, sides, and neck, Medium grain width spruce top, Halfplate hat peg tuners, Ebony nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle, old ebonized tailpiece, German 10 mm steel rod endpin, Beautiful red-brown varnish finish. Dimensions are: Top length 42 3/4″, Upper bout width 20 5/8″, Middle bout width 14 1/4″, Lower bout width 25″, Depth at tail 8 1/2″, Depth at upper bout corner 8 1/4″, Depth at neck 6 1/2″, String length 42 1/4″. Repairs to sides and back, leather numbers added to treble side corners. The voice is profoundly rich and penetrating. This instrument is equally at home in jazz or orchestral settings. A very fine playing bass. With cover.
