2006 Wilfer Model 13 7/8 flatback

Built for the 2006 NAMM Show in Anaheim, this powerful bass is a 7/8 size flatback version of Wilfer’s flame figured maple Model 13. Top grade fine grain spruce top, heavily flame figured maple back, sides, and neck, Rubner antique style single unit inlaid french style tuners, high quality ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, Onyx endpin, Aubert bridge (6 7/8″ height) with adjusters added by Mike Olivola when he performed a neck reset a few years ago, Brownish red-orange oil varnish finish. Dimensions are: Top length 44 3/8″, Upper bout width 21 1/4″, Middle bout width 14 7/8″, Lower bout width 26 5/8″, Depth at neck 7 1/2″, Depth at upper bout corner 9 1/4″, Depth at tail 9 1/4″, String length 42 1/2″. Played regularly by the consigning owner since 2008, this bass has developed a lot of power and a rich, toneful voice.
