2005 New Standard Cleveland Plywood

The New Standard model uses as its inspiration the rare but popular old American Standard for the body shape, but has a modernized string length of 42″. This plywood version uses a spruce out ply for the top, a maple neck, custom halfplate tuners with the E string positioned higher than the G string, Ebony nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece saddle. High quality maple bridge with adjusters. A Wittner composite tailpiece, Gotz endpin, and medium brown varnish finish complete the package. Dimensions are: Top length 42 5/8″, Upper bout width 21 1/8″, Middle bout width 15 1/8″, Lower bout width 26″, Depth at neck 6 1/4″, Depth at upper bout angle bend 8 1/4″, Depth at tail 8 3/8″, String length 42″. The setup allows easy playing, producing a voice that is fat and punchy. Currently strung with Spirocore weich strings, it also sounded great with Evah Pirazzi weich. This bass has been well cared for and shows only minimal signs of use. With cover.
