1975 Mathias Thoma 3/4 carved back (revoiced)

This fine sounding German shop bass with a Mathias Thoma brand comes to me with a very nice setup. The top has been revoiced (regraduated) by Allan Droyan. A mildly flame figured maple back, neck and sides and a clear figured medium grain spruce top are set off with brass halfplate tuners and a red varnish. Ebony nut, fingerboard, tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle. Adjustable Aubert De Luxe bridge and a 12 mm steel rod adjustable endpin. Dimensions are: Top length 42 7/8″, Upper bout width 19 1/2″, Middle bout width 14 3/4″, Lower bout width 25 7/8″, Depth at neck 6 3/4″, Depth at upper bout angle bend 8 3/8″, Depth at tail 8 3/8″, String length 41 3/8″. kept injury-free, this instrument shows few signs of dings and wear.
