1948 Czech 3/4 carved back

This post WWII Czech 3/4 carved back instrument is very solid in feel and voice. A recent regraduation of the top by Allan Droyan gives this postwar bass the rich voice and easy response of a 1920s instrument. Unfigured maple back and sides, medium grain spruce top, medium profile maple neck with brass halfplate tuners, ebony nut, fingerboard, tailpiece, and tailpiece saddle, Despiau bridge with adjusters, Gotz 10 mm steel rod endpin, medium brown varnish. Dimensions are: Top length 42″, Upper bout width 20″, Middle bout width 14 1/8″, Lower bout width 25 1/2″, Depth at neck 6 5/8″, Depth at upper bout angle bend 8″, Depth at tail 8 1/4″. ¬†With a recent fingerboard dressing and setup refinement, this instrument is a fine jazz bass with a good balance of “cut” and depth on the bottom end. With cover.
