1938 Roth 3/4 gamba

This incredible 1938 Roth gamba shaped 3/4 bass is a spectacular performance instrument in either an orchestral setting or on the jazz gig. Performance upgrades include a top degradation and setup by Mike Olivola, a replacement neck by Allan Droyan. Fine-medium grain spruce top with very bold grain lines, Mildly flame figured maple back and sides, Unfigured dense maple replacement neck from old german stock, original engraved half plate brass tuners, New ebony nut, finerboard, and tailpiece, Ebony tailpiece saddle, Aubert De Luxe bridge with adjusters, Goetz 10 mm rod endpin, Medium brown oil varnish, currently strung with Thomastik Bel Canto strings.
